There Was a Murder at The Ivory Tower...

If you love murder mystery books and classics like Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express," or Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes" mysteries, this event is right up your alley! If you missed it, don't worry, we have whole-house mystery nights planned every few months! Break out your bowler hat and trench coat and come help us solve the mystery at our next "Murder on the Orient Express" Live Murder Mystery on Saturday, March 23rd. Want a little preview? Here is a recap of our Ivory Tower Holiday Soiree.

A stunning array of authors from past and present met in the Ivory Tower (aka The Storyteller's Cottage), for their annual meeting through a portal that can only be entered with a time turner. This particular meeting was a little tense with suspicion as someone had been stealing authors' manuscripts! Here was the line-up of suspects:

The Fitzgeralds (Zelda and F. Scott)

Jane Austen (left) Beatrix Potter (right)

Mary Shelley and Oscar Wilde

The Gatekeeper (left) J.K. Rowling (right)

Agatha Christie and Ernest Hemingway

Ernest Kline and Shirley Jackson

Guests gingerly entered the Cottage in their holiday threads and were greeted by the gatekeeper who filled them in on the awful scandal. With pens in hand they toured each room to meet with the authors and gather clues, scribbling answers to very clever questions in their notepads. Once every author had been questioned, everyone gathered downstairs to enjoy some food and spirits. We mingled and sipped cocktails (maybe one too many sips for Mrs. Zelda Fitzgerald) when even more drama unfolded! Not only was there a thief amongst the festivities, but there was also a murderer! The atmosphere became thick with suspicion, and authors began pointing fingers and making accusations of each other. Arguments broke out and tension filled the victorian rooms. Questions were asked....

WHO DID IT?

WHAT WAS THEIR MOTIVE?

DID THEY ACT ALONE?

WERE THERE ANY WITNESSES?

WAS ANY EVIDENCE LEFT BEHIND?

After hours of interrogations, the mystery was solved and we brought the guilty party to justice. Who done it? Ah, that is confidential information. All we can say is that justice was served. The rest of the evening went on and the authors could rest easy again. Until the next meeting...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
