Students Went Back to School at Hogwarts Last Weekend

Updated: Apr 23

On Sunday, September 15, aspiring witches and wizards returned to Hogwarts for a spellbinding day of Harry Potter inspired classes! This annual Back to School at Hogwarts event is a hit with children ages 8-12.

The day began with a classic Sorting Ceremony that sorted students into their preferred Hogwarts houses. Gryffindors, Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs, and Slytherins were then grouped together and sent off to their classes.

In the Care of Magical Creatures class, students made their very own phoenixes and owls to care for.

Students made galaxy jars in Divinations class and inspected the shapes in the jars to determine their futures.

In Potions class, they made polyjuice slime with their house colors.

Finally, they wrote their own spells and learned about ancient runes in the Study of Ancient Runes class.

The students had a lot of fun, and so did the professors! The Storyteller's Cottage hosts Harry Potter inspired events for both children and adults throughout the year. Keep checking our Events page for more information and registrations!
